Car Hits House on Hayes Street; Both Ignite in Flames

A car accelerated to avoid a collision and struck a house at 10:45 AM in the 700 block of W. Hayes Street.
A Lincoln MKS was being driven by a 27 year old Racine man. His vehicle accelerated to avoid a collision and struck a house.
The vehicle caught fire and suffered severe damage.
The fire spread to the house.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
No citations were issued.
Witnesses to the incident pulled the driver of the Lincoln from the vehicle after the accident and towed the vehicle away from the house, causing the vehicle to strike a parked car.
