WISCONSIN (CBS 58) – The state has announced penalties against four car dealers for odometer fraud.
Odometer fraud is the rolling back or otherwise changing the mileage readings on cars meant to be sold.
Two of the dealerships are in Wisconsin – L and A International Motors located at 3500 South 92nd St in Milwaukee and Mex Car Sales at 5439 22nd Ave. in Kenosha.
Both have had their dealers’ licenses revoked. Two others are out of state but have ties to Wisconsin, one of them buying cars at Wisconsin auctions and then changing the odometers.
