Car damaged after car wash part comes loose

On Thursday June 8 at 8:47 AM the Fond du Lac Fire Department as dispatched to  a car was, Buggy Bath, located at 804 W. Scott St. for a reported pole through a windshield of a car.

The original information received from dispatch was that the person in the vehicle was trapped, but when officials arrived the person was out of the vehicle.

Part of the car wash spraying mechanism had come in contact with the front windshield, shattering it. The pole did not protrude though the windshield as originally reported.

There were no injuries reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the car wash owner was contacted and responded to the scene and is working on making necessary repairs.
