Car crashes into Milwaukee restaurant overnight, suspect on the run

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police have confirmed that a car crashed into the JJ Fish and Chicken restaurant near 19th and Capitol at around 10:18 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15.

The driver reportedly fled the scene and has not yet been found.

No one inside the building was hit by the car.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee restaurant sustained significant damage early Tuesday, Sept. 16, after a car crashed through its front window.

The crash happened shortly after midnight near 19th and Capitol. A vehicle struck the front of JJ Fish and Chicken, where a sign indicated the business was open at the time.

Authorities have not said if anyone was injured. It is also not yet clear if the driver was arrested or cited in connection with the crash.
