Candlelight Vigil Held At Former Asha Family Services

MILWAUKEE - Standing by violence victims who don't have anywhere to go.

There was a candlelight vigil held from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. yesterday at the now-shuttered Asha Family Services.

The non-profit in the Sherman Park Neighborhood lost its funding and had to close earlier this month. Organizers are worried that many people won't go outside the neighborhood to get the help that they need.

"That creates a large void and we need to acknowledge and affirm that we are aware that there are victims that will not be served," The Former Executive Director of Asha Antonia Vann said.
