(CBS 58) – An ongoing campaign, AdoptUSKids, highlights adopting from the U.S. foster system and adopting teenagers.
Since 2004, the campaign has contributed to more than 870,000 adoptions.
Currently, there are 424,000 children in the U.S. foster care system waiting to be adopted.
CBS 58 spoke with the CEO of the Adoption Exchange Association and a woman who spent eight years in the foster care system to learn more.
