Milwaukee (CBS 58)--Sunday storms rolled through just after lunch, causing some downpours and downed branches throughout Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties in particular. Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport recorded winds gusting up to 59 mph. Now we're focusing on improving conditions for a while. However, winds will stay rather brisk into early Monday morning with gusts from the west between 35 and 40 mph.
Don't get used to the sun on Monday. More rain is coming Tuesday into the afternoon. And by the way, a northeast wind Monday afternoon will keep it rather cool lakeside with temperatures only in the 40s. It'll be warmer west with readings near 60 in Lake Country.
However, there are signs of a rather impressive warmup by Thursday. Some of us could be near 80 then. Then the computer models have us cooling down and staying unsettled for most of the holiday weekend, especially Sunday and Memorial Day itself with more scattered showers and storms.
Make sure to download the free CBS58 weather app to keep on top of developing rain and storms when you're away from your home or computer. It's great to have when you're boating, camping, or fishing.
