Burglary Suspect Arrested Running Away from Scene on West Appleton Avenue

A burglary suspect was arrested running away from the crime scene in the 9000 block of West Appleton Avenue.

According to police, the officers responded to a business in the 9000 block of W. Appleton Avenue around 5:40 AM on Tuesday for a report of a burglary.

When they arrived at the scene, they saw the suspect running away from the building.

The officers caught up to the 19-year-old Milwaukee man and arrested him.

Officers also found a crowbar near the store’s exit that the suspect was believed to have used to break into the business.

The suspect faces charges of Burglary-Armed With a Dangerous Weapon, Resisting an Officer, and Possession of Burglarious Tools.
