Bureau of Land Management hosting wild horse and burro sale

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Bureau of Land Management in Wisconsin will hold a wild horse and burro event providing wild horses and possibly a few yearling and burros on September 21 and 22 in Mequon.

The animals will be available Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 to 4 p.m. with a break from noon to 1 p.m.

Anyone who purchases an animal will need to immediately bring it home and has to provide adequate feed, care and an enclosed area such as a corral, barn, stall or another facility such as a pasture.

The animals must be transported in a stock-type trailer.

All animals for sale have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, de-wormed and blood tested.
