Bulk Diesel Fuel Thefts Being Investigated in Washington County

Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate incidents involving a theft and one attempted theft of diesel fuel from bulk fuel tanks over the weekend.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, both scenes were within one mile of one another on STH 60 in the Town of Jackson, and it is believed the thefts occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

At one scene, the suspects turned off power at the home in an effort to activate the bulk pumps.

At another scene the suspects were successful and removed several hundreds of gallons of diesel fuel. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 262-335-4420.
