Bucks to submit bid to host NBA All-Star Game in 2025 or 2026

WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- If you watched Giannis and Jrue Holiday of the Bucks in Sunday's NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City, you may well have wondered, how long has it been since the All-Star Game was played in Milwaukee?

The answer? It's been 46 years. In 1977, while Kareem Abdul-Jabbar still played for the Bucks, Milwaukee hosted the NBA's mid-season All-Star Game. That was before the Deer District, before Fiserv Forum, even before the Bradley Center, and it hasn't happened since.

But that long absence could end soon.

The Bucks confirmed for us Monday that they plan to submit bids to host the All-Star Game in 2025 or 2026.

Next year's location is set. The game will be played in Indianapolis.
