Bucks monument installed at new arena
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The new Bucks arena is now 98% complete, the latest addition is sure to be a popular photo op destination for fans.
Bucks officials and player Malcolm Brogdon were on hand as the final letter to the ‘Bucks monument was put into place on the southeast corner of the arena.
It’s 33 feet wide with each letter 12 feet tall. It features benches in the back and is the first piece of a large plaza that will serve as a gathering spot for fans before, during, and after games and other events.
“BMO served us well, but I think this gets the city even more involved, the community more involved and the players are excited to play in there,” said Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon.
The Buck say most of the arena’s sign installation started this month and two more signs will be installed this week.
The new arena will open in the fall.
