MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- To honor the lives in Orlando five years ago, the Milwaukee Bucks hosted a "Love Wins: Chalk the Plaza in Love and Remembrance" event on Saturday, June 12.
People stopped by Fiserv Forum and were able to write messages of hope and love on the sidewalk in support of the LGBTQ community.
The organizer hopes this event brings a sense of community.
"The reason why we're doing this as well is to honor and remember these individuals and celebrate their lives by creating community and conversations. With community, we feel that so many positive things can happen," Jill Barry, Director of Guest Experience for the Bucks, said.
This event was a collaboration between the Bucks Pride Alliance and local LGBTQ groups.
