MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers visited Audubon Technology and Communications Center on Tuesday, March 3 to highlight the role breakfast plays in student success as part of National Breakfast Week.
Rivers joined No Kid Hungry and Hunger Task Force for the event, which aimed to draw attention to the connection between nutrition and learning.
"No kid should ever go hungry. We have learned that feeding kids, hungry kids, helps with education, helps them not only be an NBA player, they can become doctors and lawyers, but food and hunger is so tied together," Rivers said.
Studies show students who eat a healthy breakfast daily score higher on tests and attend more days of school.
