Bucks' coach Budenholzer selected as coach of the year by peers

Milwaukee Bucks' head coach Mike Budenholzer was selected as the Michael H. Goldberg NBCA Coach of the Year Award. The award is voted upon by the head coaches of all 30 NBA teams.

Budenholzer is in his first year as the Bucks coach, and helped lead the team to a record of 60-22 and a trip to the NBA Playoffs.

Budenholzer and the Bucks head into the NBA Playoffs as the Eastern Conference's No. 1 team and begin their best-of-seven series against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.

A separate award for the NBA Coach of the Year, the Red Auerbach Trophy, will be announced on June 24.
