MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Some basketball players at a Milwaukee school had some high-profile visitors on Thursday.
Duke University basketball player Brennan Besser stopped by Penfield Montessori Academy. Besser is riding his bike cross-country to raise awareness and support for the intellectual and developmental disabled community.
The issue hits home for Besser who has a sister that has a developmental disability. Bucks player Marshall Plumlee, a former Duke teammate, said he's not surprised to hear about Besser's mission.
"He's a guy that really prides himself on making the people around him better. He's making his community better, by calling attention to such a good cause like this," said Plumlee.
Members of the Bucks' Rim Rockers squad also helped out with the basketball camp on Thursday.
