Police: Missing Brown Deer teen found safe

BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police say 16-year-old Taris Newell has been found safe.

BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Brown Deer Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating a critically missing child.

Police say 16-year-old Taris Newell walked away from his residence in Brown Deer at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, while walking his Golden Retriever, Louie. 

Taris was last seen wearing black Nike shorts, a light blue T-shirt with a graphic on the front, and carrying a black Nike backpack. 

Officials say Taris suffers from cognitive and behavioral disabilities but has no violent tendencies. 

Anyone with information regarding Taris' whereabouts is asked to contact the Brown Deer Police Department at 414-371-2900.
