Brown Deer Police: Man sells shoes on Instagram for $1,250, says he was never paid

BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police are investigating after a man in Brown Deer claims he was scammed on Instagram. 

According to Brown Deer Police, a 19-year-old said he sold and shipped three pairs of shoes to someone in Illinois that he met on Instagram. The man never received the agreed-upon payment of $1,250. 

Since the shoes were shipped, the person who he sold the shoes to has not responded to any of the 19-year-old's messages on Instagram. 

Brown Deer Police says a report has been filed.
