Brother of Milwaukee shooting victim holds vigil in his honor

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The brother of a shooting victim in Milwaukee organized a vigil in his honor.

Police say 27-year-old Germaine Reid was killed near 64th and Silver Spring Monday, Oct. 5.

On Tuesday, dozens showed up and took part in a march for justice.

Details on the shooting are slim, but Reid's 18-year-old brother wants answers.

He says silence won't help his family, and he violence must stop.

"Kids are dying left and right," said Marquell Jenkins, Reid's brother. "Black males are dying left and right. We're always talking about the police and how the police are killing Black people -- what about Black on Black crime?"

Detectives are still looking for suspects and a motive.

If you know anything, contact Milwaukee police or Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS. Your call could get you a reward.
