Brookfield Singer Nora Collins using talent to raise Alzheimer's awareness in memory of grandmother

Nora Collins, 21, of Brookfield is already well on her way to successful career in music.

Her fourth CD \"My Radio\" is out and she enjoys recognition from the WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Awards each year for the several past years.

While pursuing her dream, Nora is also giving back to the community.

She was recently named an Alzheimer's champion by the Alzheimer's Association of SE Wisconsin.

She gladly accepted the role in memory of her grandmother.

\"My grandmother passed away last year. I recorded her favorite Christmas song and put it on I-tunes and the money went to the Alzheimer's Association,\" Nora explained to CBS 58's Michele McCormack.

\"I'm happy to raise awareness whatever way I can. Alzheimer's is hard to watch as it takes a hold of your loved one. Music has the power to help them remember certain memories from back in the day and it's a wonderful thing to see them connect to that music.\"

Nora was a special guest on the CBS 58 News at 4:30 and shared some of her beautiful voice with viewers.

Enjoy!
