Brewers winning ways continue with 9-1 thrashing of Miami

Miami -

Khris Davis hit his 18th homer of the season and the Brewers put up five runs in the fifth inning en route to a 9-1 pounding of the Miami Marlins Monday afternoon.

Davis took a Justin Nicolino offering to the opposite field in the fourth inning to put the Brewers on the board. The five-run fifth included RBI hits from Jonathan Lucroy, Adam Lind, Khris Davis and Hernan Perez. Perez finished with four RBI for the game. Rookie Zach Davies got the win, his first with the Brewers in just his second major league start.

The Brewers have won seven of their last eight games.
