Brewers to host 'Unidos por Venezuela' game to support earthquake relief
Milwaukee Brewers MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers and Brewers Community Foundation will host "Unidos por Venezuela" on Tuesday, July 21 when the team faces the New York Mets, giving fans ways to support relief efforts following June earthquakes in Venezuela.
The game builds on relief work started by Brewers players Jackson Chourio and William Contreras, both natives of Venezuela, who partnered with Forward Latino and local organizations to collect emergency supplies after the June 24 earthquakes.
Fans attending the Tuesday, July 21 game can purchase a $20 "Unidos por Venezuela" ticket, with proceeds benefiting relief efforts and buyers receiving a commemorative shirt. Proceeds from that night's 50/50 raffle will go to Forward Latino.
Fans not attending can donate directly through We Love Foundation by clicking here. Tickets are available by clicking here.
