GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) – Local kids got a surprise visit from Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun on Monday.
Braun surprised a group of kids from the Boys & Girls Club. The kids thought they were going to Kohl’s to get clothes before heading to a Brewers game, until Braun walked in.
“I was excited and happy to see Ryan Braun because he’s one of my favorite baseball players,” 11-year-old Robert Stokes said.
The kids were given $500 gift cards to buy anything they wanted as Braun helped them shop.
“I think a lot of times the game itself feels rather insignificant, but the platform it allows us to have is something that’s so special, because you can have a positive impact on so many people’s lives,” Braun said.
The kids ended up buying everything from shoes to games, and of course, Brewers gear.
