MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers are helping the city repair its potholes. On Tuesday, April 28, the organization joined the Milwaukee Department of Public Works (DPW) as workers filled some of the countless ruts we all drive over every day.
The Brewers are paying for a new hotbox trailer, used for pothole repair. It's a partnership, a gesture of gratitude from the team to its hometown.
"The great fan support means we have to give back to our community, and this is a very small way of doing it, but hopefully a very noticeable way," said Milwaukee Brewers President Rick Schlesinger.
You'll see the Brewers logo on some of the paved potholes -- a reminder of the partnership.
"Taking care of the city is part of our mission here at the Brewers," Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson said.
