Brewers drop ninth straight, 3-2 to Cardinals

MILWAUKEE - The Brewers woes continued Friday night with a 3-2 loss to the Cardinals at Miller Park in the opener of a four game series.

Rickie Weeks homered, and Jonathan Lucroy had an RBI double, but the Brewers weren't able to overcome the two runs Wily Peralta allowed in the first inning, trailing for the rest of the game.

With the loss, the Brewers fall four games back of St. Louis in the NL Central and now fall into a tie with the Braves for the second and final wild card spot in the National League.
