Former Brewer and now television sports broadcaster Bill "Rock" Schroeder says he expects exciting things from the Brewers this season.
"They might make some mistakes, but they'll be aggressive on the bases," Schroeder told CBS 58 News during live pre-game coverage Monday.
Schroeder said coverage is a little different on the home opener.
"When you're breaking down the game on Opening Day it's more or less getting the crowd shots and getting ready for the entire season."
This is Schroeder's 23rd year as color commentator for the team's telecast.
"Guys will always say the season starts in earnest tomorrow."
Schroeder who spent eight seasons (1983-90) in the majors with the Brewers and California Angels, posting a career-best .332 batting average in 1987, says he's very interest to see how Manager Craig Counsel, also a former player, will handle the roster.
"There are some players who are on the bench who are going to have to get int the game," says Schroeder. In particular the Hernan Alejandro Perez, a utility player who says he's ready to go where the team wants him.
