Brewers bats fall silent in 4-1 loss to Padres

SAN DIEGO - Tyson Ross silenced the Brewers hot bats Tuesday night, leading the Padres to a 4-1 win and evening the three game series in San Diego at one game a piece.


The Padres scored all their runs in the first three innings off Brewers starter Jimmy Nelson, but only two of the runs were earned. Nelson struck out seven in five innings.


Jean Segura had two of the Brewers five hits on the night.


The deciding game of the three game set happens Wednesday night at 8:10. Yovani Gallardo takes the mound for the Brewers.
