Brewers announce nominations now open for Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers announced Thursday, Jan. 19 nominations are now open for the Grand Slam Teacher of the Month Award, presented by UScellular.
All year long, the Milwaukee Brewers recognize Wisconsin educators who improve student achievement and use innovative strategies to make a difference in the lives of their students.
To begin the New Year, Jacquelynn Bazylewicz of Waukesha has been recognized as the January recipient. The 5th grade teacher out of Edgewood Elementary is noted for her enriched learning style in the classroom, creating hands-on projects, community service and technology activities that engage her diverse classroom. She is revered for not only her excellent teaching skills but also her compassion for each of her students, providing a safe place for children to learn and grow.
Students, educators, parents, community leaders and fans can nominate a Grand Slam teacher online HERE. All educators throughout the state of Wisconsin are eligible to participate in the Grand Slam Teacher of the Month program.
Monthly winners will receive a Grand Slam Teacher of the Month certificate, recognized on Brewers social media channels during the month they are named the Grand Slam Teacher of the Month, have the opportunity to be recognized on-field prior to a future Brewers home game and receive a Brewers gift pack.
