MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Brew City Match, a program aimed at revitalizing commercial corridors and supporting BIPOC businesses, has relaunched in Milwaukee.
Offering financing and mentorship to small businesses in underserved areas, the program plans to invest around $3.5 million over the next few years, fostering job creation and economic growth.
Since 2019, Brew City Match has granted $1.16 million to 68 businesses, redeveloping 54 commercial properties and generating over 250 jobs. The restructured program, a component of Local Initiatives Support Corporation Milwaukee, is now accepting applications from small business and property owners.
To learn more details, we spoke to Travil Spell, Economic Development Program Officer with LISC Milwaukee as well as Taj Pearsall, owner / operator with Buffalo Boss Midwest on Tuesday, April 26.
