Braun homers but Brewers drop series opener to Pirates

MILWAUKEE - Ryan Braun homered in the first inning, but the Pirates put up eight unanswered runs and beat the Brewers 8-3 in the opener of a three game series at Miller Park Friday night.
Josh Harrison drove in five runs for the Pirates with a two-run homer, a two-run double and an RBI single.
Combined with the Cardinals loss Friday night, the Brewers lead in the NL Central remains at one and a half games.
