Braun added to All-Star team, but Brewers drop first half finale

Ryan Braun celebrated his late addition to the NL All-Star team with a first inning home run, but Adrian Gonzalez's eighth inning blast sent the Brewers to a 4-3 defeat in the team's first half finale at Dodger Stadium.

Braun was named by NL manager Bruce Bochy Sunday to replace the injured Matt Holliday. Braun homered in the first inning, while Hernan Perez added a solo shot in the third, but Will Smith allowed the two-run game-changing blast to Gonzalez in the bottom of the eighth, snapping the Brewers perfect record when leading after seven innings this season.

The Brewers enter the All-Star Break with 38 wins.
