Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee aiming to deliver holiday joy with annual gift drive

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee is hosting its annual Holiday Gift Drive throughout the month of December, aiming to ensure that every club member receives a new gift this season. The event invites community participation through donations and an Amazon gift wish list.

BGCGM's wish list features educational toys, winter essentials and gifts suitable for children of all ages.

The organization emphasized in a Tuesday, Nov. 21 press release that these donations play a crucial role in making the holiday season brighter for Milwaukee's youth. All gifts purchased via Amazon are directly shipped to BGCGM, simplifying the donation process.

Kathy Thornton-Bias, President and CEO of BGCGM, highlighted the importance of the drive, saying, "We know that the holidays are not always magical or happy for all our members and we want to do everything we can to ensure our Club kids have a gift to take home for the holidays."

The organization notes that over 4,000 gifts were distributed across Milwaukee in 2022.

In preparation for the holiday celebrations at the over 50 club locations in the Milwaukee area, BGCGM staff and volunteers will wrap the donated gifts over two weeks in December. For donation information, click here.
