MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A culmination of months of work.
The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee revealed their 2025 Youth of the Year nominee.
The lucky winner is 17-year-old Brandon Dike. He is now moving on to the statewide competition.
If he rises to the top, he will move on to the national level. It is all one way to celebrate the work those students have done to be leaders in their communities.
"It means a lot, it also means I have the voice for Milwaukee. Being able to advocate for the people around me is really important, because there were times, I wasn't able to advocate for myself. So, I find it very near and dear to my heart that I'm able to win this award and also continue to strive for a better path," said Brandon Dike.
The student who becomes the winner of the national competition gets a special prize. They will get to deliver a speech to the president of the United States.
