MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- After a few donations and a partnership with Milwaukee Admirals, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee has officially opened their new facility.
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new youth center was held earlier today, Sept. 24.
This facility, named the Ready Center, will serve as a hub for Milwaukee teens. It offers a huge variety of services that help them get the skills they need for their futures, whatever that future may be.
"There's a CNA lab, there will be a medical lab here, we also have just classroom programming here," said Assistant Vice President of Graduation Plus and Leadership and Service Andre Douglas. "We have all of those things here, our grad plus program, our leadership and service program - all of those things happen right here at our Ready Center powered by the Milwaukee Admirals."
These programs can help teens apply for colleges, prepare for jobs in the trades and ultimately do more to bring more young people together.
