Boys and Girls Club of Kenosha takes tour of Amazon Fulfillment Facility

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Kenosha got a tour of Amazon's Fulfillment Facility, complete with a look at the company's robots.

The visit is a part of the program's STEM curriculum and is intended to show kids how manufacturing and mill jobs have changed and how they will look in the future.

"I think it was so cool to see it first hand that you can push one button online click buy now and two days later it shows up on your doorstep, we got to see the behind the scenes on how that all happened," said Jake McGhee, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Kenosha.

McGhee says the kids got an A on the day, answering questions and learning about how Amazon works.

Amazon also surprised the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha with a $15,000 donation to help the organization continue to inspire kids to pursue STEM education.
