MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- About 100 children from the Mary Ryan Boys and Girls Club got the coaching of a lifetime at Sherman Park Dream Court thanks to the Milwaukee Bucks along with Fiserv who hosted a basketball clinic on Thursday, July 14.
"It’s a great opportunity to enjoy some beautiful sun in Milwaukee, get used to the court a little bit-- know it;s out here and available for them and pick up some basic skills," said Bob Hau, chief finance with Fiserv.
Sherman Park Dream Court was installed last November in partnership with the Bucks, Fiserv and the Nancy Lieberman charities.
More than 90 courts have been installed across the U.S because of the Dream Courts Program with the goal of making basketball more accessible to children.
"We love that the community always supports us throughout the season but more importantly it's about what the Bucks can do for our surrounding communities, our neighbors. And the court was just one piece of that," said Kareeda Chones Aguam of the Bucks.
They said the number one objective is for children to learn a skill and have fun.
