Boy Dies After Fall from Water Slide in the Dells

A boy has died after falling off an outdoor water slide at Mt. Olympus Water and Theme Park in Wisconsin Dells.  

According to the Lake Delton Police Department, three juveniles entered a restricted area of the outdoor water park around 10:20 PM Wednesday. The restricted area was closed for the season and surrounded by a fence. The gates were padlocked.   

After entering the restricted area, the three climbed one of the water slides and attempted to slide down on the accumulated snow. One of the juveniles slipped off the slide and fell about 35 feet to the ground below.  

Dells-Delton EMS paramedics attempted to resuscitate the boy, but they were unsuccessful. The Sauk County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy.

The victim and his family were guests at the "Mt. Olympus Hotel Rome" at the time of the accident.
