Book Controversy in Waukesha County

Waukesha County  - Ellen Cox submitted a request to have the novel book \"Looking for Alaska\" banned from all public schools in Waukesha County. The book is currently available at two middle schools, and every high school in the County. Cox told CBS 58 her 15-year-old daughter read the book as part of a classroom assignment, and contents in the book include minors having sex, using profanity, and smoking pot. The school district's consideration committee denied Cox's request to ban the book. The Superintendent told CBS 58 Cox will have the option to appeal the committee's decision with the board.
