Body of Racine County Jane Doe exhumed

RACINE -- The body of an unidentified woman found dead in Racine 14 years ago has been exhumed with the hope that new technology will help police determine the woman's identity.

After 14 years and very few leads the Racine County Sheriff's Office stays committed to identifying a Jane Doe. She was found in rural Racine County on July 21, 1999. The Jane Doe was found in a cornfield by someone passing by. 

Investigators believe the woman's age is anywhere from 13-35 years old, 5'8\" and about 120 lbs. She had double pierced ears, poor dental health and died from blunt force trauma.

Sheriff's Investigator Tracy Hints is charge of this case, and has pour several hours into solving this mystery. \"If you just look at her photograph, and the sparkle in her eyes is enough for me to do those things,\" says Hintz.

Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling hopes new tests will help locate the woman's family, and lead to track down her killer.
