Body identified in Menomonee Falls fatal fire investigation

Menomonee Falls officials have confirmed that the body found in a fire, that happened on September 6th, is of the 50-year-old homeowner.

The fire and police departments responded to a home on Lilly Road shortly after 1:00 am Saturday for a house fire.

While battling the blaze a firefighter located a man who was deceased. There were no other people in the home.

Officials believe that remnants from a fire ring located on the homeowners deck ignited the porch and continued onto the house.

Foul play is not suspected.

A neighbor told CBS 58 that the victim grew up in the home and that it belonged to his parents before they passed away. She described him as a nice and helpful man who lived alone.
