Body found on Lake Winnebago shoreline in town of Friendship ID'd

FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Fond du Lac County officials identified the man pulled from the shoreline of Lake Winnebago as 57-year-old Thomas D. Williams.

FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office says there were no signs of injury or trauma to the body found in Friendship over the weekend. 

The identity of the victim, a 57-year-old Fond du Lac man, will be released after family notifications are made.

FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Fond Du Lac County officials are investigating a body that was found on the shoreline of Lake Winnebago in the town of Friendship on Lakeshore Drive.

According to officials, the body was confirmed to be an adult male.

Preliminary identification has been made by officials.

An autopsy will take place Monday morning, on April 25, and until the identity is confirmed by the Medical Examiner, the name of the victim will not be released.

A deputy will remain at the scene of the incident pending the results of the autopsy.

This investigation is ongoing.
