Body found in Kettle Moraine Forest identified as missing Elkhorn man

WALWORTH COUNTY -- Authorities have identified the body found in the Kettle Moraine Forest as a missing man from Elkhorn.
Russ Delorme was reported missing on August 1 and Walworth County officials sent out an alert asking the public's help in finding him.
The Walworth County Sheriff's Office said it conducted several searches for Delorme on foot, horseback, and ATVs.
His body was found August 17 by a hiker in the Kettle Moraine Forest, well off of the Yellow Trail.
An autopsy done on September 1 shows Delorme died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Walworth County Sheriff's Office says the investigation into Delorme's death is ongoing.
