MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- People had the chance to make their voices heard over Milwaukee County tax rates.
The Milwaukee County Board unveiled its amended budget to the public on Thursday evening.
It was approved in committee and does away with County Executive Chris Abele's proposal to double the wheel tax.
Board members say the public cares about county resources.
"It's challenging to pay more for our resources and our services but at the same time folks really appreciate it especially senior centers and parks and transit," said Marina Dimitrijevic, County Board of Supervisors 4th District.
The full County Board is expected to vote on the budget on Monday.
