WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin's Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) confirmed cases of bird flu within commercial poultry flocks in both Walworth and Jefferson counties Friday morning, March 6.

The agency says both premises have been quarantined and the birds will be killed to prevent the virus from spreading.

The announcements mark the third and fourth time the highly contagious virus has been confirmed in the state this year, and the second time there's been a bird flu outbreak at a commercial Jefferson County farm this year.
