Bicyclist Injured in Hit and Run in Dodge County

A car versus bicycle accident last night has sent a Fond du Lac man to the hospital and law enforcement officials are looking for the offending vehicle.   According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred just after 8 PM Friday on State Highway 175, north of Meridian Road in Theresa Township.  The preliminary investigation found that 25-year-old Kyle Davis of Fond du Lac was riding his bicycle northbound on the highway when he was struck by a north bound car which left the scene.  The bicycle was equipped with both front and rear lights.  Davis was taken to a local hospital with what is described as non-life threatening injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office is looking for a 1999 to 2001 Buick Century with damage to the passenger side. The vehicle should be missing the passenger side mirror and may have other damage consistent with hitting a person on a bicycle. The Sheriff’s Office is requesting any information on vehicles that match the description.
