Bicyclist critically injured after crash with semi in Kenosha County
KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A bicyclist was critically injured after a crash involving a semi-truck in the Village of Bristol Thursday morning, April 20.
Officials say the truck was headed eastbound on County Highway K around 10:07 a.m. when the bicyclist, also traveling eastbound, made a left turn into its path and was struck.
The bicyclist, a 53-year-old woman from Grayslake, Illinois, was taken to Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital with serious injuries before being transferred to Froedtert Milwaukee by Flight for Life.
Authorities say the bicyclist's condition remains critical at this time.
The semi driver was issued a citation for operating a commercial vehicle without a license.
