MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- BelAir Cantina has named Hunger Task Force as the latest recipient of its Powered by Tacos campaign. The restaurant chain launched a limited-time Mission Mushroom taco to support the organization.
Jonathan Hansen, chief strategy officer at Hunger Task Force, and Andrew Miller, vice president of operations at Toro Toro Toro Inc. joined us on Monday, Feb. 10 to discuss the effort and its purpose to help fight hunger in the Milwaukee area.
The taco features vegan birria, mushrooms, cilantro, onions and vegan consommé in a gluten-free corn tortilla and it will be available at all BelAir Cantina locations until springtime.
Fifty cents from each taco sold will go directly to Hunger Task Force to fund emergency food deliveries to people in need.
