Milwaukee’s Downtown Dining Week officially underway
Morning meteorologist Chris Nelson met with Brewers' officials and got a behind the scenes look of the stadium.
Here are some quick facts about the roof and grass surface:
*The roof weighs 14,000 tons
*There are seven panels that help open and close the roof
*Ten minutes - that's the amount of time it takes for the roof to open and close.
*The surface at Miller Park is grass, NOT artificial turf. Artificial sunlight is needed in some spots to help give nourishment.
*Miller Park was built and completed back in 2001. Believe it or not, it is now one of the older stadiums in the MLB.
Here's a sneak peek of everything Chris Nelson saw at Miller Park.
