Beer and cocktail garden opening at Summerfest grounds through September
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Enjoy the last sips of summer at a new, temporary, beer and cocktail garden on Milwaukee's lakefront.
Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) announced the addition of the new lakeside beer and cocktail garden, which will be located on the Summerfest grounds and open select Fridays and Saturdays in September. Opening date is set for Friday, Sept. 8.
Operating dates and hours are as follows:
September 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 29, and 30:
3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m.– 7:30 p.m. – live acoustic music
According to a news release, the area will be family friendly, including four-legged friends, and will feature live acoustic music, draft cocktails, domestic and craft beer, outdoor games, and plenty of seating at picnic tables.
Free convenient parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, in lots located near the Mid Gate entrance.
The Northwestern Mutual Community Park will also be open during the beer & cocktail garden hours, offering inclusive and accessible play for children. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new or gently used children’s book and place it in the donation box at the Northwestern Mutual Community Park. All books collected will be donated to Next Door Foundation’s Books for Kids program.
The menu at the beer and cocktail garden will feature various domestic and craft beers including Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, Terrapin, Miller Lite, Miller High Life, various Vizzy flavors, Topo Chico, Lakefront Oktoberfest and Hazy Rabbit. Draft cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available, along with assorted snacks.
