BBB Warns of Storm Scams

Powerful winds sent trees crashing to the ground brought down fences and blew shingles right off of homes.

In the aftermath of this week's wind storm you or someone you know may be looking for a contractor to fix the damage.

The Better Business Bureau warns don't pay a storm chaser and expect them to do the job right.

Temmer said us tell-tale signs a contractor isn't legit they travel door to door or come from out of town.

If you are not sure call the BBB before giving away your money.

If you think you were scammed by a contractor, make sure to file a complaint.
